María Claudia Parias

Acting Director

Con una sólida formación en Comunicación Social y Periodismo de la Universidad de la Sabana, complementada por una especialización en Gestión Cultural de la Universidad del Rosario y una Maestría en Gerencia Cultural de la Universidad de Barcelona, se destaca como una líder excepcional en el ámbito cultural.

Desde el 2014, ejerció como Presidenta Ejecutiva de la Fundación Nacional Batuta, donde ha trazado una estrategia innovadora, asegurando la sostenibilidad artística, financiera y social de la entidad.

Bajo su dirección, la Fundación ha expandido su impacto territorial y diversificado su oferta, cumpliendo su misión de proporcionar formación musical de calidad con un enfoque inclusivo.

Con una carrera impresionante, ha ocupado roles clave en el ámbito cultural, desde ser Directora de Fomento Regional del Ministerio de Cultura hasta liderar la Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá.

Su experiencia incluye roles en el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, el Convenio Andrés Bello, y la Dirección de Artes del Ministerio de Cultura, demostrando versatilidad y compromiso con el desarrollo cultural en Colombia.

Además, es una figura destacada a nivel internacional, siendo miembro principal del Consejo Ejecutivo del International Music Council (IMC) y formando parte de la International Society for the Performing Arts en Nueva York.

Con una trayectoria tan rica y diversa, María Claudia Parias, continúa dejando una huella significativa en el mundo de la cultura, abogando por la formación accesible y la promoción de los derechos culturales, hechos que serán pieza angular para Idartes, para su ideario, para su desarrollo y transformación como entidad líder en la gestión de las artes en la Ciudad.

Maira Salamanca

Deputy Director of Arts

Theater director, producer and cultural manager. She holds a master’s degree in Performing Arts with emphasis in Direction from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas and is a specialist in Cultural Management, Planning and Cultural Policies from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

She has developed her professional career through various roles and activities related to the performing arts, such as assistant director of theater groups, technical coordination of theater productions, teaching in the areas of direction and production at the Faculty of Arts ASAB and in workshops in the different localities. As a director she has worked with groups such as Artgott Teatro and Compañía Nacional de las Artes.

Leyla Castillo Ballén

Deputy Director of Artistic Education

Dancer and stage performer with a vast trajectory, teacher and researcher. She has a master's degree in Literature and a bachelor's degree in Arts Education.

Her research interests are centered on pedagogy in creation and the intersections between body, community and territory. In the field of education, she conceives the individual from the cultivation of sensitivity, creative expression and thought. This experience has led her to be a university teacher at undergraduate and specialization levels, advisor of alternative processes of social bonding through art with educators of this area, youth groups, children's groups and communities in general in different regions of the national territory.

María Paula Atuesta

Head of Dance Area

Anthropologist from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, contemporary dancer and dancer of the DanceAbility Method -dance for mixed abilities- with Master Alito Alessi. Master's Degree in Environmental Management for Sustainable Development from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She has 15 years of experience in teaching, research and knowledge management in the educational and cultural sectors, at school and university level in the fields of social sciences, dance and performing arts. She has participated in several publications from body-movement, arts and culture with early childhood and youth population.

Ricardo Cantor

Head of Audiovisual Arts Area

Film and television director from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Specialist in Market Intelligence from Universidad de los Andes and master's degree in Cultural Management from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. He has been executive producer on the following feature films: El resquicio (The crack) (Colombia/Argentina, 2012, Cabecitanegra Productions/Rizoma); La semilla del silencio (The seed of silence) (Colombia, 2015, Chapinero Films); and Antes del olvido (Before oblivion) (México/Colombia, 2018, Ciudad Cinema/Chapinero Films). With 15 years of experience in the audiovisual sector as a film producer and cultural promoter, he has contributed to the strengthening of the country's audiovisual ecosystem through the Ministry of Culture, Proimágenes Colombia, the Bogotá Cinémathèque, the Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano, the Bogotá Audiovisual Market - BAM and Encuentros Cartagena.

Hanna Cuenca

Head of Cultural Equipments

Graduated in Social Communication from the Universidad Javeriana, ontological coach, facilitator of Dragon Dreaming and candidate for a master's degree in Social Intervention at the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. Since 2000 she has been a cultural promoter, highlighting her work as director of the cultural sector of the Universidad Javeriana, coordinator of Dramatic Arts at the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá - OFB, manager of Dramatic Arts at Idartes and national coordinator of Theater and Circus at the Ministry of Culture. She has dedicated her stage activities to oral storytelling since 1996, participating in seasons and festivals in 10 countries in Europe and Latin America. She teaches in the master's program in innovation management at the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Eva Díaz

Head of Dramatic Arts Area

​​Master in Plastic and Visual Arts from the Francisco José de Caldas District University, Faculty of Arts - ASAB with an emphasis on Photography, two-dimensional, ceramic processes and digital media. She is a specialist in Public Management from the National Open and Distance University – UNAD. She has been a cultural manager for 18 years.

She has been the local cultural manager of the Ministry of Culture, Recreation and Sports, and has carried out pedagogical accompaniment in the District Education Secretary in Coordinator of the District Program of Concerted Halls led by the Idartes’ Dramatic Art Area. He has also advised research, pedagogical processes and the coordination of artistic and cultural projects of organizations in the city's theater sector.

Catalina Rodríguez Ariza

Head of Plastic Arts Area

Master in Plastic Arts from Universidad de los Andes and Master in Cinematography from Goldsmiths College, University of London. With 22 years of experience in the cultural sector at the district and national level, she has worked in different entities of the Mayor's Office of Bogota and the Ministry of Culture. In addition, between 2003 and 2013 she was a professor in the area of Electronic Media and Time Arts at the Art Department of the Universidad de los Andes.

Michael Navarro

Head of Music Area

Musician, flutist and entrepreneur that highly appreciates salsa music and other genres. He has a Master degree in Music at the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia. His professional performance has led him to be a performer in different academic formats such as the Colombian Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Cundinamarca Symphonic Band, traditional Colombian music formats, and contemporary music groups. He has also been a session musician for documentaries and record productions, among which Intemperante by the boyacense tiplista Lucas Saboya stands out.

He has been a music teacher at different municipal music schools associated with bandistic processes in municipalities of Cundinamarca. He developed various projects and programs such as RETO - Reactivation from Entrepreneurship for Business Opportunities in Music (2020) and the Musical Compilation Bogotá Suena Vol. 1 in 2017, Vol. 2 in 2018, Vol. 3 in 2019 and Vol. in 2020. He has also been a jury for the National Stimulus Program - Ministry of Culture of Colombia in 2013, 2016 and a jury for the Salsa al Parque Festival in 2014.

Adriana Martínez Villalba

Head of Literature Area

Social communicator with a master's degree in editorial management. She has worked in different positions related to books and reading for the past 20 years. She has recently worked in the direction of the Bogotá Book Fair - FILBo and was literary editor of Alfaguara in Colombia.

Paola López

Head of Nidos Program

Anthropologist from Universidad Externado de Colombia and master's degree in Political Studies from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Her professional life has revolved around early childhood, education, art and cultural diversity, both through research exercises as well as through the elaboration of guidance documents for public policies aimed at this population. She has developed pedagogical guidelines and orientations for early childhood care from a diversity perspective in entities such as the Ministry of Culture, the Intersectoral Commission for Early Childhood and the Ministry of Education.

José Arroyo

Head of Crea Program

Master's degree in music with emphasis on violin from the Superior Academy of Arts of Bogota; he studied at the Conservatory of Music of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia; Specialist in Public Policies for Equality from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences; candidate for a master’s degree in Cultural Management and Production from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. He was a violinist member of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Colombia and the Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá. In the pedagogical field, he has worked as a teacher in the area of high strings with local institutions such as the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Colombia, Coopfilarmónica and at the national level with the Fundación Batuta.

In his experience as a cultural promoter, he has been manager and director of several artistic and union organizations, in addition to artistic and pedagogical coordination activities of several symphonic musical educational projects. He has been part of the team of artists and territorial managers of the Crea program and is currently the program's general manager.

Carol Sabbadini

Head of Arts, Science and Technology Strategic Line

Visual artist, restorer and curator of Artistic and Cultural Heritage, master’s degree in Art History, Visual Arts from the Universitá degli Studi of Bologna, Italy and in Audiovisual Heritage Management. She holds a master's degree in the language of the Contemporary Image - photography, transdisciplinary practices and video art - from the Fondazione Fotografia in Modena, Italy. She was an advisor for the formulation and development of strategic projects for the Direction of Audiovisual, Film and Interactive Media of the Colombian Ministry of Culture and coordinator of the National Audiovisual Documentary Center of the Latin American Association of Documentary Filmmakers - CENDOC, Alados Colombia. She has been curator of exhibitions such as a2p and her works, videos and experimental films have been exhibited in galleries, museums and festivals such as: South London Gallery, European Photography, Colombian film festival Berlin, Cremona Contemporary Art Research Center and Spatiul Platform of the Museo Nacional de Arte Contemporaneo de Bucarest, among others.

Diana Salavarrieta

Head of Art and Memory without Borders Strategic Line

Sociologist, master’s degree in public policies and master’s degree in Latin American studies, with experience in formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of public policies aimed at guaranteeing the rights of specially protected populations, within the scope of the inclusion of differential approaches and action without harm.
